can you help me get my head round this ?
I have been toiling with the idea of having three IBCs in my unit

The first is going to have tap water in it and will be fitted to the mains on permanent flow via a ball cock valve this will give me a constant water supply that i do not need to switch on or off all the time . TDS in will be 70

The second tank will be for the waste water from my RO TDS 125
I intend to have a over flow to the drain fitted to this tank ,

The RO is fed from my booster pump at the moment
I intend to fit a split pipe from both tanks to the pump so as both tanks will feed the RO

Am i right in thinking that because the higher TDS is being taken in the water will be that high ? 125

And will the TDS in the waste tank continue to get higher ?

would it be worth me putting the waste through a DI before it went back in the waste tank ?

Now the reason for this is if i can prove that most of my water usage is not returned to the sewer i can claim back a 50%rebate on my water bill
baring in mind that the last bill for my water use was £230 per Quarter
And i will also be able to use the waste water which is at present going down the drain to use on our facia and gutter cleans

Am i right in thinking that because the higher TDS is being taken in the water will be that high ? 125 No because if you draw any equal amount of 125 and 70 the average would work out at nearly 100 ppm

will the TDS in the waste tank continue to get higher ? Possibly depending on what RO you are using. If the filtration continues to give out the same usable water then the filters will clog up sooner as the inlet tds rises.

If sewgae counts against you then run it onto your garden or into water butts for the garden. The way things are I'm not concerned that the resoirvoirs are nearly empty
