In an ideal world that would be the answer Kev, apart from the Total cost, look at all the equipment you would have to carry, it would be possible for those with bigger vans, but those with smaller vans would find it a little harder.

Good comment Though ;)

Very true about needing a large van. I have a box trailer that houses my generator, omnivac, extention leads, 40m of high pressure hose and a pressure washer and lances etc.

If I was doing domestic only and van space was an issue I would opt for the pressure lance, but for commercial this is a non starter for the reasons I mentioned above.

Also imagine trying to clean this with a pressure lance - what a mess that would cause. The picture is of a manual gutter clean we did but it will give you an idea of what to expect

with the upkeeper you can legally clean up to the same height on ladders so you cant really charge that much, i would be tempted with the upkeeper if it went to the 2nd floor as its all in one

I clean up to 3 floors with my Upkeeper, no problems. Have also done some 4 story.

I trailed an upkeeper, it really wasn't anywhere near the power of the Omnivac. Its a domestic machine. Commercially its a non-starter  for about 30 reasons ;)

Item  2.) Runs better on a cheaper pressure washer (around £200)  ?

Why?

If you use a high psi pressure washer Jeff, its like fighting with a whale on the end, I went back to my lower psi one for this reason, you don't need vasts amount of pressure for cleaning.
most good pressure washers you can turn the pressure down

You only have to adjust the throttle to adjust the pressure, I found with the cheaper one, you didn't have to keep running back and forth to the pressure washer to get the pressure Just right.

I can see the potential on the commercial side Kev with deep gutters and if I did loads of commercial guttering, I would certainly consider buying a vac, most of my guttering is on the domestic side so the lance serves all my purposes of internal and external cleaning.

How do you transport that pressure washer Jeff? Is it light enough to get in the back of a trailer by one person do you wheel it up a ramp?

I carry my new one in the trailer, my old one fitted into the boot of my car.
Its light enough to lift on your own no problem, you don't need ramps.
