** ROTARY AND FIBRE SHAMPOO **
« on: July 05, 2008, 01:09:33 pm »
Hi all

I thought today id clean my lounge carpet not too bad hwe it a few months ago thought id give it a qyick once over

Fibre shampoo in teh solution tank off i go 10 mins later all clean.

Vaccumed this morning nice and new.

Now will this way of cleaning resoil the carpet quicker as im not sure that all the  encapsulation was completely removed? or do i need a better vaccum as im thinking of offering this service but i do not want call backs due to resoiling quickly?

Regards

Steve

I'm not upto date on Prochem formulations, but isn't Prochem's Fibre Shampoo a crystalising product rather than encapsulating?

If so, Fibre Shampoo doesn't have the new generation of polymers. You'd need to use ProCaps for that.

Either way, this is not a service I would offer as a main line to my residential customers. In extreme cases, it would be valid as part of a combination clean on trashed levels of soiling (don't forget the defoamer in the rinse cycle)  In the commercial environment it is a completely different matter and is worthy of serious consideration.

Safe and happy cleaning :)

Ok Ken thanks

The reason i say about proving this as aservice as i have so many people ask for a carpet cleaning quotation and when i tell thm the price for the service pre vac,pre spray hwe then its a oooo really but i thought if they wanted a quick no nonsense clean (not a deep one) then they could pay the smaller rate and its a lot less quicker than giving away the hwe service as im finding it hard no to say no when i get bartered down.

Got to get tougher i suppose

A concentrated blend of high foaming, crystallising neutral detergents and
performance additives specially formulated for use on carpet fibres and wet
cleanable fabrics. B105 can be used in conjunction with carpet rotary brush
machines, bonnet mops and dry foam equipment as well as brush and sponge
shampoo cleaning of upholstery fabrics. B105 has excellent cleaning , quick
drying and colour stabilising properties.
• Quick drying and acidified - maximum safety from shrinkage, colour bleed and browning.
• Leaves no oily film or "soap" residue - does not promote resoiling.
• Neutral pH and high foaming - suitable for delicate fibres and fabrics.
• Can be used as "carrying" detergent for many Prochem additives.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Vacuum carpet or fabric thoroughly to remove dry soil before shampoo cleaning.
Always pretest carpet and fabrics for colour fastness and possible texture
change with diluted solution and white towel or tissue before proceeding with
application.
Carpet cleaning: Dilute 30 to 50ml B105 per litre of water (1 to 25). Apply foam
evenly by rotary brush machine, sprayer and carpet bonnet pad, or dry foam
machine according to machine operating directions, at approx. 10m² - 20m² per 5
litres of mixed solution.
Reset pile with brush or rake. Do not overwet. Replace furniture on protective pads.
Upholstery cleaning: Dilute 40 to 60ml B105 per litre of water (1 to 20).
Apply foam only by sponge, soft brush or dry foam machine. Do not overwet.
For best results vacuum when dry or rinse extract with B109 Fibre & Fabric
Rinse solution and leave carpet or fabric to dry thoroughly before reuse.

Suprised they still sell it since Procaps came out which I have tried.

It truely is a weird thing. Prespray and brush in and looks really impressive on trashed low pro commercial. But when it's dry and you supposedly vac up the encapsulant, hardly anything comes out.

Also thought it would be the answer for a spill /backing stain, but alas not.
