Dave,
If the interior is cloth try Citrus gel, gluespot or acetone (nail polish remover) should all get results. car interiors are bulletproof dont be scared of causing any damage. If its leather then maybe mossy is the man you need to speak to mate.

As mentioned try various solvents and blot with a cloth, may be unsuccessful as marker is 'permanent' wouldn't wet extract as what you see could be the tip of a reservoir of ink and would spread and then it's your problem.

Dave if its on the dash ( pvc) should remove with white spirit. If its on the upholstery then fabric restorr will remove with ease or any high ph detergent. The fabric is synthetic and most stains remove easily.
If that doesnt work ( as some markers can be PERMANENT) then try solvent spotter, dwell/rinse.

Hi Guys
As has been said try your range of solvents, I would expect acetone and isopropanol to work best but as Paul says , white spirit might well be the best.
If the pen is blue or black you may find complete removal impossible.
Cheers
Doug
