Morning! Right, in reply to Groundhog - did you see those grinning faces after my post about the windows! (Having descended from apes I pull faces like one! j/k!)

Of course some jw churches have windows, but due to stone throwing chavs some of them have bricked them up, put grilles over them etc.

I think your story is probably true up to the point that I do not believe that jw's  in general would be violent in the setting you describe. (But ... if a stone had come thru' a window and hit somebody then one of the fiery/newer/ex-con ones might have got threatening and lippy in the heat of the moment.)

Now, then all the above posts illustrate why I think Shiner would be a good mod.

I'm not bothered if you choose to believe it or not, because it's true! I have no reason to come on here and lie!! I am also sure that in general jw's are not violent people, I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. But in my opinion religion causes more violence in this world than anything else, and this was just another example of it!!!

This forum has several areas - but I agree that this section is about window cleaning - but (again) some people window clean for different reasons and so their religion might be one of them - if you don't know their religion (which may be behind their decision to w/c in the first place) then when they offer business advice you won't know it is "skewed" because their plans are based on their religious beliefs ...

I'm stuck at home waiting for some hoses to turn up today, so I'm stuck watching the forum, should find something better to do.  I am surprised though that this thread has been allowed to go this far and so far off topic.

I know many a word has been said in jest, tongue in cheek jibing.  But for the JW's participating, what would Jesus do?  Ask a question like how many JW's could you have taken out? 

All though I may have been guilty of it in the past, I don't think using scriptures references on this forum is fair, it's like talking a different language to some people, if some dude come on and started speaking Spanish we'd be like WHAT?!?  If you want to use a scripture just quote it.

How about the principle behind this scripture, "Do not throw your pearls before swine."  I'm not calling any forum member swine, but listen they've made their mind up just move on.

As for Shiner be a mod, well I've never read a post about window cleaning of his that I didn't agree with.  Why anybody would want to moderate us lot though beggars belief.  But I'm sure he would make a good one.
