Prochem Pureclean and wool
« on: May 28, 2008, 07:20:13 pm »
I have been using prochem Pureclean on carpets and upholstery now for sometime with great results, for some reason when i use it on wool the results are not as good, i use as a pre-spray, agitate and leave for 10 mins then extract with pureclean in the tank. I would like to hear if any of you guys use this product and the results you get on wool.

Hi Paul, Sebo duo getting great results on everything except wool been using on upholstery with fresh water rinse and no problems. even on wool that is not really too soiled the results are far from what i get with pre-spray gold and fabric and fibre rinse,

Sounds like what you would get with any M/S- wool is  harder to clean anyway.

Does it say on the instructions a dwell time is required?

I cleaned the carpets in a big house yesterday (202sqm).  All but 1 of the carpets were 80/20, the other was 100% wool.  Started off with MS and was getting sub standard results so switched to PC Pure Clean and got excellent results.  The only carpet type i cant seem to get to high standard with PC Pure Clean is Berber.  I keep trying MS om Wool & Wool rich carpets but cant get the high standard results with it like i do when using PC Pure Clean.

Richie.

I thought pureclean was just a powdered MS, if there is a dwell time there must be other stuff in it too.

I have used Pure Clean on wool but find that I get much better results with Spitfire Advanced from Dry Fusion.

Just ordered some Pureclean, looks v economical even compared to Microsplit which I've been very happy with.

Also going to try Procaps for a larf.

Where can I get Spitfire Advance from, other than DF?

I have just done a google for Spitfire Advanced.
Looks like its an Australian product which may well be why its available through Dry Fusion.
Couldnt see any other UK suppliers.  :(

Unless others know different.

Thanks chaps I'm going to try some to see if I can improve on PSG.

The other thing that I've found impossible to find is Releasit, another product that seems only available stateside and in OZ.
