an idea for all window cleaners.
« on: January 16, 2005, 10:45:57 am »
hi there,

well more of an opininion.

the govt hasd now bought in PPG3, where this requires new house building to increase in density and to go higher in floors.  the other signifcant knock on effect is that the layout of streets, is such that properties are being built at the front of the plot, IE only a metre or so from the road.

therefore more grime on the windows more frequently from the nearer vehicles, equals more work.,

and the last things these guys want to do when they have bought their shiny new house is have to clean the windows at the weekends.  So possible lucrative market place would be these new developements that are going up Literally on the kerbside.

just a thought

have a good weekend

regards

martin

Most of the new developements around here are 3 or 4 floors and jumped on by the WFP cleaners.  :'(

Maybe it's time to think of buying one.

What we've been doing lately (we only started last year although we've both been window cleaners in the past) is concentrating on the rich and wealthy of which there are lots being in the far south (and east'ish) so to speak but there are rich areas everywhere to one degree or another.

A lot of them are prepared to pay really good prices for good quality work and reliability. We've just got another one that is £90 for an hours work every month for 2 people and the owner stressed he is paying that for a proper service. To get that took both of us nearly a days leg work going up and down long long driveways.
