That sink looks a treat!

Amazing how people manage, what's the story behind it?

Amazing isn't it, you do an amazing job, turn it from a pig sty into a palace and then they go round nit picking.

Did a massive 7 bedder a few months back (wasn't filthy) they didn't move in for two weeks and wondered why it was dusty and had cobwebs?

His mother in law spent 2 days cleaning the oven (for which we gave a sparle clean) and wondered why we hadn't done the same??

Just did a student EOT, they had been putting their rubbish in the shed for the last year (Yummy!)

What sort of hourly rate would you go for on a jobs like these?

Don't mind if you'd rather not say but would be helpful and much appreciated!

Hi

For EOT you have to be looking at around £30 p/h.

For extreme cleaning, like you see on 'Life of Grime' then around £50 p/h.

Ok, so at least £25ph for normal clean, ie not like the pics shown here.

I don't give hourly rates out, but give a job price, and figure out what it would cost in my head based on my hourly rate.

Trouble is there's a guy around my way that the estate agents use who, for the same price that i'm charging/quoting, will do EOT, AND carpets!  Basically half my price!!

However, whenever I clean for the landlord, they are always impressed with the attention to detail i have given, and realise you get what you pay for.  They also understand that having a clean home to let will hopefully attract the right sort of tenants, who in turn will have to leave the property in the same manner as when they first moved in.  Hopefully then the landlord will reccomend me again to the them!

Trouble is I seem to keep pricing to low, just finished a job, that ended up only paying just over £15 ph, which is fine if I was employed, but I have a busines to run with expenses!!  I think I might be bottling out of giving it the proper price because I don't want to lose the job to someone else.

I once bought a house that had been trashed by the owners and repossed by the bank.  The people had had seven children over the course of around twelve years and had always chucked the dirty nappies into the cellar.  I wasnt' allowed to view until it was cleared but apparently the nappies had built up into a physical wall that had to be removed by environmental health... yuk!

I did get to see the bedrooms though and the parents had the big bedroom with the baby and the small bedroom floor was covered in mattresses where the six older ones slept.  Such a sad site.

How the hell do people live like this?
