Same as, it does my head in big time, my bills are stupid, i might try and tap into the mains :o

Leccy and gas bills are stupidly high too, have you tapped into those too :o

the housings are 304 stainless steel - they will only crack if the entire body of water in he housing freezes along with the membrane, thats only going to happen if the unit is left outside in siberia type temperatures. 

the plastic housings will crack long before the stainless steel.

anyway you shouldn't let your ro unit come near to freezing.   ever.

my 300GPD is useless at the moment even when boosted it still only makes 27 29 litres an hour at 85psi 40psi before boosterd.


is there anyway you can deadin the sound of the pumps? sort of put it into a box with something to try and lower the noise..

my idea was just to run this in the day because of the noise which is what i do now with the 300GPD but running say from 9am to 6pm would only make about 240 literes :-\ were as i was hoping the 4040 would be more enuf just to be run in the daytime.

Iv just looked at one of my old posts and Easy is using the same booster pump as me for his 4040 RO system .. so maybe it can be used proberly not the best to use but if must work
