Dave. If my maths is correct that would equate to about £900 spent.

What is the time period and why don't you get an RO system.

Been WFP for about 4-5 years now and only had to buy 4 bags of resin in all that time. Using roughly 1500 to 2000 ltrs of water per week.

Regards

Steve

Oh and just bag it up and put it in the bin. (non hazardous).

If resin can be 'regenerated' - why is no one offering such a service. Is it not economically viable?

You would have thought that recycling would be encouraged.  I know most WC's prefer 'pure' but someone must have a need for 'regenerated'.

Love it.

Steve a

That is about a years worth. I use roughly the same amount of water in a day as you do in a week.

There are many factors why i just use DI, but now i am slowly changing over.

Its not economically viable unless done on a VERY large scale I'm told.

Does it make good fertiliser then?

Paul, you might have something there ;)

It's like fine sand, so maybe it would make a good soil conditioner for heavy clays and the like?

Dave, try bagging it up in 10lt packs and selling it as "Borat's Patent Root Treatment"

It's a death trap to walk on if spilt on a path.

I suppose you could hand it on to someone who is di only and they could use it in vessel 1, assuming they use more than one vessel.
