hi there

i hope youve already worked out the costs for the wages, ie m-f s -s  and bank holidays, with regard to the amount you have costed the contract.

one person seven days a week isnt sustainable over a long period of time,

i would be looking at a 5 day 2 day split so m-f and then a weeeknd person.  customer should find that easy to handle, and then makes your job easy.

you wuld expect to pay the weekend person a higher hourly rate, and then an uplift for bank holidays

regards

martin

I have a contract which is 3 hours a day, 7 days a week and we have three members of staff covering the job.

Normally, 1 does three days, 1 four and the other is purely for cover.  (sickness, holidays, dentist mullarky) However we do not pay extra for the weekends.  Obviously extra for bank hols.

By having the three has helped a lot, as they sometimes change days to suit themselves (with my permission)  This has allowed me to have the contract for nearly two years without having to work a day on site myself.

I understand that this is not practical in all cases, but the staff are all flexible which helps.
