Hold it right there
« on: March 08, 2008, 06:46:22 pm »
Was cleaning a house yesterday and the neighbour was coming up the drive as she saw me she said

oh window cleaner that reminds me I need my windows cleaning

Then she walks in the house

I was thinking she was asking me  ;D

Then she comes out and starts cleaning the house, I do not know what she was using but it looks like jif  ::)

As I am cleaning the tops she said

Thats a good Idea

yes I said its my trusty water fed pole  ;D

then she goes into the house and starts to hang out of the top window trying to clean it

as she was hanging out the window, the window fell out  she manages to grab it before it falls  :o

I could see that she needed help but was I going to see if she would shout for help  :D

I cleaned another 2 houses and she was still there  the neighbour got in touch with her husband and he came from work to help ;D

some will never learn  ;)

Oh by the way as I was walking back she said that she would get a window cleaner next time   :D

One of my customers, a really decent bloke, fell off a ladder about 10 years ago while cleaning his own windows.

He had quite a severe compound fracture in his arm; his humerous was sticking out of his arm and a neighbor ran to see if he was alright, and my customer said he screamed at his neighbor, 'of course I'm not 'effing' all right'.

He still feels embarrassed about how he shouted and has used a window cleaner ever since.

He also had no problems with the WFP for some reason.  ;D

Falling out of a window whilst trying to clean it from the inside is easy to do. I nearly did it myself last year whilst trying to get egg of my son's bedroom window. Thought I had a good hold on the  frame but as my body wieght went over the ledge I nearly lost my ballance. Wont ever do that again. If that frame had been loose I would deffo have fallen.

My Parent's window cleaner has just had a fall from near the bottom of his ladders. I don't know what his injuries were but they were quite serious. He's been told he wont be able to get on a ladder again.
