I wouldn't use them for windows if I was you? the pressure could damage window seals, not only that, the lance has a tendancy to jerk when you switch it on and off, do this to close to the windows and the tip of the lance can smash the windows.

It would also drink your pure water in no time at all.

Apart from the above there excellent for doing facias and guttering from the ground, so long as you don't get to close you can also do the finials on the top of conservatory roofs, again don't do the glass or plastic sheet on the roof, again damage to the seals can accure.

I tried pure water pressure washing,.. it was a disaster!!! The pressure blasts all the bits of dirt from the window reveals and top frames and it ends up all over the glass no matter what you do,...... the only place it might work is on bigg commercial jobs where you have a wall of glass. Even then, I doubt the results would be good, and those long lances are hard on the back if used for extended periods of time!

Jeff1 and Nathaniel, thanks for your comments,do you both have a lance, if so what do you mainly use it for,was it worth the investment, where did you buy from and what did you pay for it.

Got mine from these people, http://www.northerntooluk.com/products.asp?partno=22824E don't forget you need the jets and the gutter tool to be able to do the internal section of the guttering.

I use mine for all guttering work.

I got mine from www.merrillfoxenterprises.com (in the USA) with a washer. I use it for fascia/ soffit/ gutters etc. Defo worth the money,.. I'm looking into a 36' one with a roof cleaning attachment now that you just roll up and down the roof!  ;D
