Vince, if you were going to clean the frames every time would this be an issue with fan jets?
I was using 2 x pencil Jets, but have just brought a Cleantech brush with narrow fans... Love it to bits Very controllable, and great rinsing

I do clean the frames every time and on first cleans I am paranoid about making sure that I get all the dirt off the frame tops. But there is an area above that on a lot of windows where dirt can collect but you can't get to with a brush. If you inadvertantly give that a good dowsing you will bring it down.

Vents are one of the cases where you can be wrong which ever way you go. You can try to avoid them but if you get a bit of water splashed on them it will cause runs.Or you can bite the bullet and clean them. It is possible to get them clean, especially ones that stick out. On upstairs windows you are working blind. Unless you have eyes like superman you can see whether you have cleared all the dirty drips. On downstairs windows it it possible to see the drips so its no such an issue but go back and check them before you leave. Thanks Vince. I was going for fan jets but now not too sure what to do. Do you clean vents or avoid them?? Prsume you can't avoid them with fan jets as you haven't got accuracy???ta
