I have an r reg peugeot partner 800 1.9 deisel and I'm trying to work out what the max weight I could carry. Does the 800 mean I can carry 800 KG or is there some formulae for working it out
Any help would be gratefully received.
ps, The reason I need to know is I'm looking for a plastic tank to go in the van.

yes its does but as most of the lads go on about here is you have to include passengers, equipment, ladders, Diesel
So 400ltr tank would be your limit

if you work on your own then take (for a guide)
85kg for driver
27kg for tank
40kg for equipment
45kg for fuel
total = 197kg
total left 603kg
water weighs 1kg per litre.
you'd be fine with a 500ltr tank.
Our expert is a 900kg payload - has a 650 tank in it and no matter how much water is in the tank it doesn't affect the van much.

You need a cage like this:
On the Pug Partner the fuel tank makes it quite awkward to secure the cage to the chassis,... so you'll prob have to get one custom made by a local welder/fabricator. Mine only cost €120 fitted,.. but I'm mates with the guy!

This is the old van,... after a few days with the tank in, I realised it was just WAY too small!
Got me a Pug Boxer now,.. a dream to work with,.. just waiting on the signwriting.
