Sean Rimmer (Brodex) said on a post recently that you will have to 'bash' off the old clamp, breaking the glue to then refit with new clamps. Alex GardinerAlex, you are a tinker, you have hyphenated the word bash, which is a word that I didnt use. You obviously have your reasons..!
Hi Trevor, you can remove clamps from Prolong poles, unlike composite poles, where the resin glue invariably rips off the composite surface. The usual technique is to either twist the clamp off with a large pair of mole grips or slide a large adjustable spanner up the tube repeatedly to loosen the bond. Ensure that you clean any old resin off the tube and inside clamp, before rebonding.
