Hi chris, we had coatex round our way a few weeks back, they spent 4 hrs pressure washing and 2 hours a few days later coating the roof of a neighbours bungalow, they charged £2000 yes £2000  for less than eight hours work, they have massive advertising and franchise overheads though,
after i found that out roof cleaning has got to be worth £500 a day for poor souls like us, or just try your luck, as i have found out you can always lower the price but try talking a price upwards !
good luck, post on how you get on, regards. clive.

sounds  like you need proper access, like a cherry picker or something, its not the height thats hurts, its the ground.
I really dont know how coatex and mossrid get away with how they operate, there must be some HSE quirk there somewhere.
the working at height regulations on the HSE website are for ever being updated.
they are after all franchised so i guess they have employee satus.
Go in at job rate not day rate, say £2000 for 4-5 days work ?
this is not really my area and I am new to the trade, its just my 2 cents !

btw...coatex just removed the down pipes from the gutters and reversed them so the grit and moss from the roof went straight onto a flower bed.
