Bear with me;
I thought your critisisms were good. Some of it was expediency on my part. I do have a problem with people wanting longer frequency cleans, and have took note of what ww and dave stives say on this (4wks is best) but as i am a relative start up I have gone with what I think is the future trend.
This is an old thread resurected, since then I now have a hot system.
What has struck me is the marketing. All of the system makers only want to market themselves. What use is it to have thermo pure or 02 on the side of your van, the only people who understand what it means are fellow windies.What if a more direct approach were tried?
When you sell something you are in theory supposed to outline the benefits to the customer. The method (pure water) is not actually a benefit usually to the customer. However;
This isn't always true. Dyson very nearly put hoover out of business with a bagless vacuum. Brilliant as the engineering may have been, the true brilliance was in the marketing. Right or wrong people percieved that a bagless vacuum cleaner was better.
Hmmmmm......... Where does that leave us?
Mr S,
they do need to do alot more marketing for the open market IMO, I fully understand what you are saying and agree 100%
marketing is all to do with angles, I am quite good at them (big headed maybe but true) if suppliers of hot systems did this more would buy. Dyson is a classic example of what can be done if marketed in the right way. (and I think they are over priced and not that good)
I personally love different ways of marketing, at the mo i can market against hot if need be will not say how or why but it is all in the marketing this is how we gain new business at the end of the day.

p.s Mr S you going to windex I would love to meet and speak to you, i know i go against what you say sometimes, but we really do think alike in a business sence we just have different approches. (my spelling is not good but marketing rocks)
future trend = marketing and 4 wkly is windows clean all of the time anything more then they want windows clean part of the time
