Taking on a new contract (rules)

Hi,
I have been doing some cold calling. Trying to get more business. I telephoned one company and they informed me that there would be no point in changing cleaning companies. I asked why as I have my own cleaning staff, they inofrmed me that I would need to keep on the staff that do the cleaning at that site. So they said no point in changing as same cleaners.
Are there any rules in where I have to employ the cleaners that are already on that or a site?
Does any one know about this or is it absolute rubbish.... :
thanks
Dave

You have to take them, pay them the same wages as before ,
thats really bad I had that problem before just took a new contract
and I took 15 cleaners from the other company.
