New Digital Varistream
« on: December 14, 2007, 05:31:33 pm »
Hi
Does any one know if this new digital Varistream will 'remember' your settings if the power to it is switched off - ie battery removed etc.
Thanks

It will remember yes, once you set it you will have to hold the 2 buttons down again in order to reset it.

will it work with 100m of microbore? My friend's analogue one won't cope at all. If you turn up the flow it thinks you have disconnected the pole and turns off the pump. The only way you can get it to work is to turn it right down then the water just dribbles out the top  >:(

He is going to try using it like that but I would not be satisfied with that flow rate.

Very poorly thought out product IMO  ::)

It thinks that because the blue dial is not set right.

The blue dial is in effect the pressure switch.

Thanks for the reply NWH. Maybe I just don't know how to set it?

Where is the blue dial?

I only saw a black dial on the front on the unit.

the blue dial is inside the varistream on the circuit board, you have to unscrew it, and start from one side full lock and gently turn it then turn on the varistream with the pole connected until it works, but turning off before adjusting, then disconect/shut off the hose and turn it on and make sure the varistream stops and starts briefly before stopping again, so that means its set right. Take a bit of fiddling. Thats the advantage of the digital one - you can adjust the pressure settings from the main exterior controls, so no need to unscrew it and take it apart.

If your using microbore try moving the dial 3 letters anticlockwise and see how you get on.

Top man. Cheers for the advice. I will tell my friend, he will be well chuffed!
