Clearing House Automated Payment System
A way of sending high value payment to be credited on the same day
UK only

Reading their site it reads to me that the sender pays i would check with your own bank though especially if you have a business account as they like to charge something for any transaction on them

Hi John, Thomas Higgins & Co sent a letter but with no joy of a relpy, so I have told them to take the company to court (which is about 80 pounds) I have found out on friday the company has gone tits up and have moved, so need to speak with Thomas Higgines & Co to see what is the best way forward really

CHAPS is normally only used for large payments, ie if you're buying a house.
There's normally a £25 admin charge so if it's for windows it must be a big un!! They are more likely to mean BACS

only the sender pays the fee
you will get the full amount
it normally clears instantly, thus the fee for the check of the amount

It has not been mentiond today yet , I think she had had to much to drink and cant remember much, so I wont remind her .
Whats it like now being married , I had a bit of a bad head this morning .

Ronnie
This is there web address ,
www.thomas-higgins.co.uk
give them a ring and you could talk to someone about it .
Also every time you speak to them keep a record of what was said and on what date. If you can get them to put things in emails that will also help.
