First day back...
« on: October 31, 2007, 09:50:12 am »
I've been ill since last Thursday... Haven't worked since. Still got an ear infection, but have to work because I'm running out of £££  :'(

Anyway - It looks nice outside, I'll take it slow and see how I get on!

It's a nightmare getting out the door again when you've had a few days laying around at home though.

I know how it is , i have been ill for a while also, but even if you do a half day it will help get you back into it. Get well soon

I've just completed my first month back at work following 15 months off. It feels good to be in control again.

15 months what happened

I broke my ankle badly in March of 2000. It was put back together but I'd damaged the cartilage in the joint and over the next 5 years it all crumbled away leaving me in agony with it and having more time off work than I could afford. A consultant recomended ankle fusion and I got on the list. It was worth having done but was a long road to recovery. Had to wait six months for the surgery and the rest was convalessing.

Sounds like my few days off ill is nothing to what some of you guys have been through!

I started at 11am. Worked for 2 hours. Had lunch from 1 - 2. Popped into Homebase for about 20 mins. Did another house from 2:30 - 3pm and then went home.

A nice easy day.

Tomorrow I've got to start my first house by 8am   >:(

Alex,
Is your stationery up to scratch, systems and procedures. Can you design a better leaflet or website. Is it time you reviewed your business or took a crash bookkeeping course. Lot's of things, when you get back to work you'll say I wish I had done that when I had time

I suffer with chronic arthritus and manage window cleaning with the help of painkillers everyday along with many other tablets. Even when I'm on a bad flare up and my arthritus is aggressively attacking my body and all I want to do is go back to bed or sit in front of the TV I still perservere daily with my job even if I don't start work until lunchtime as bad habits are too easy to get into. Better to get in a routine of half days than no days work as it doesn't get you depressed or leave you with low self esteem :)
