How much am i putting my self at risk if i give a customer my bank details??

I have had lots of fraud emails trying to find out my address and name put surley if thats all people need they can get that from my website or my business card??

Your at no more risk than when you give a cheque to someone,they only need your account number and sort code which is on every cheque that you may give out,so there is very little risk.

Do what we do use 2 bank accounts one for your customers to pay you via BACS and then transfer funds to the other one ....it also makes it easier to check who has paid
