Oriental Rug Cleaning
« on: October 20, 2004, 12:44:08 pm »
Does anyone teach this in the U.K.??

I'm off to the 'states next week to do a leather restoration course with Tony Wheelwright.

Next year, about August, I'd like to get the missus and me, (I), over to the U.K. for a tax deduction holiday, oops, sorry, another course. ::)  ::)

Any clues??

Cheers,

Shorty.

Hi Shorty

Oriental Rug Courses are very few and far between. The only one I've been aware of in recent years was an IICRC Course.

However, there are two names that spring to mind. Franklins in Sheffield have a Plant Rug Cleaning and repair facility and frequently give guided tours.  The other is Grime Watch Ltd.  www.grimewatch.com Whether or not they offer tours or can direct you to specialist courses I can't say.

If you do visit next year, you and your beloved will be most welcome here in the West Midlands. Convenient for Stratford-upon Avon, Warwick, and many other attractions. We even have warm beer!

Safe and happy wandering :)
