Easyclean is probably right about the price, but that is a lot of work for £180!! You could probably earn that amount a lot easier on domestic work. I price up jobs like this, but I always chance my arm with a higher price as I would rather not get the job than end up with a huge poorly paid job that I dread doing every month!!

OK also as your using a trolley you can minimise on youre water usage. i have a tap fitted to the end of each pole but to scrub i kink the hose thus only using a very small amount of water then you have plenty for all windows remember you only need more water for the rinse not the clean......you dont use much on an aplicator!!!!!!!!!!!!

i agree houndog but NEED A CLEANER'S post is ering on the side of him wanting this contract so all im saying is in this line of cleaning "blocks of flats" you got to be competative becuase there is a budget allready in place and i dont think pricing high is going to get him the contract at the end of the day we are not specialists so 6 hours @ £30 per hour is not that bad really.And its his first big contract......

but remeber this NEED A CLEANER if you dont get it dont worry you didnt have it in the first place....so your not going to miss it

I'm not a pro window cleaner but i think the day rate advise would be good to go with for now.

If its your first big contract it would be really good to get it, and like everyone on here says, you can better you work if you get the chance in the future.

With this one I would charge a hourly rate of £50 for the job, I would also add 20% on as well.

Next I would not use a trolley if possible on all of the building, the main reason is you will be walking miles to kept filling up.

I would use microbore hose, which is a lot easier than garden hose to control.

At the moment, I have 140 metres of hose on a 100 psi pump, but at times I have also connected another 40 metres and still have the pressure to do the job.

if yous are bright and telling the truth then i wont blame yous for not stating where as there would windowcleaners descending on your patches from miles around to undercut your asses lol business is business.

If you look on my profile, you see I'm from Birmingham.

As for earning £50.00 per hour, on quite a lot of jobs I earn that or more, for instance I have one nursing home I charge £175.00 it takes me 1 1/2 hours to do, which equals to £116.66 per hour, another is an office block this I only charge £165.00 but it does only  take an hour to do, on both clients the work went out to tender.

I also charge a 1st clean price of £25.00, which means that I could be earning £100 every hour of the day, if they were all placed together, and quite clean to begin with, but lofe is not that kind.

On average over a days work, spread over a week then I do not earn less than £35.00 per hour.

Now if you start to take away all of my expenses (Petrol-wfp running costs- van mainternance-road tax- insurance-business insurance-ect ect ect)  you will see that my earnings are quite normal.
