300 Ro Unit
« on: August 31, 2007, 10:39:23 am »
I am looking to my a ro unit and was wondering if this one was ok i found on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/300GPD-REVERSE-OSMOSIS-WATER-FED-POLE-WINDOW-CLEANING_W0QQitemZ250160263843QQihZ015QQcategoryZ112579QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I was looking at ro man unit but this on ebay is cheaper. Is it cheaper because the quality is not the same?

My water reading is around 75

I want one to make water in my garage

So as anyone brought one of these from ebay and if yes whats it like?

Thanks Dave

Do you know if it is better than the ro man system or just the same?

Hi Dave.

I have one of these. Its a very good RO and does what RO's are supposed to do very well. I can't comment on the RO-Man systems coz I havent got one or know anyone who has.

It's dead easy to install. Comes fully assembled other than putting one connector ihn for your feed hose.

It's a Pure Freedom unit and like Hugo says Andrew there is very helpfull indeed.

Wish my tap TDS was 75..  lol   :)

I do know that he has them made overseas and imports them by the containerload so I dont think that they are RO-Man ones.

When I enquired about the one I bought he told me that he had tested a lot of different makes of membrane and chose the ones that perfomed the best.

The membranes are what do the hard work in any RO so providing they are good quality any RO should do a good job.

As I said above my 300GPD unit from him performs very well for me so I am well happy with it.
