i am about to purchase my first carpet cleaner and need advice on the best value and performance. i am considering prochem steempro power max but wonder if better alternatives are available and wether to have in line heater or not needed have also looked at sabrina maxi originally thought of buying second hand but unsure have quite a bit of work lined up so need advice quick many thanks simbo

Hi Simbo, The master clean machines seem good value, Twin 3 stage vacs, 400psi, stainless steal wand with 25ft of hose, 220F inline heat exchanger, 12 gal tanks for £2303.

Simbo, I have the master clean price list here in front of me and for that price(£1484) you could get the same machine but with 135psi, no built in heat exchange and single jet wand.
 they are doing a deal which gets you a nice machine with heat for £1684+vat, or a top spec machine with heat and 500psi for £21 a week!!

You can also try woodbridge commercial. www.wcsuk.com They have machines with similar or same spec to prochem. these machines are made in the uk, with british parts, which are easily and readily available..unlike some of the machines...again the prices are around your budget too...i have one..good machine...inline heater etc

Looking outside my sometimes blinkered view, I was gazing at the Alltec Aqua 40 at Carpex. It's highest spec is 2x3stage vacs and 100psi. Quite adequate for most and the same as what I am using with my larger Pro Plus. But the lower capacity? Not a problem in reality. If you use 100 litres on a job, does it matter whether you fill up/empty the water once, twice or three times? Not really as you're still only going to fetch and carry the same amount in total. PLUS, the Aqua 40 is a lighter machine than most, and costs, from memory, about £1500.

thanks for your help but still confused ninja looks good prochem look good and sabrina just need advice on what minimum spec to have to do a good job and weather inline heater is needed you guys know your stuff i don't want to buy a useless machine that makes my life very difficult from day one i want to get good results that will gain me more work is it realistic only spending 1500 pounds to achieve this as am also planning to do oven cleans and need some cash to buy steam cleaner as well  any help very gratefully recieved simbo

How about the leasing deals most of the machine manufacturers offer?? £20 a week for top spec porty giving you spare funds for all the other things you will need, thats covered by working just half an hour!!
