Err, ExCel, postcode??
« on: October 08, 2004, 07:01:00 pm »
I am off to the Windex show tomorrow, and I'm just trying to do a map using the RAC route planner, But without a proper address it just comes up with excelsior gardens

Anyone got a a more detailed address for the site?

The map on the back of the name card you receive doesn't look very good to me and I sure as hell don't want to trust it! Canary wharf looks a darned sight more than a stones throw away to me if the perspective is even halfway to being accurate

hi

I went there today - used the map on the back of name label - found it easily.  Only mistake I made was to enter from the West side and then followed Car Park signs the the East Car Park  :-[ so went much further than needed but still didn't get lost.

Thought show was excellent.  Forums very useful and professional.  Guys on the various stands friendly and helpful.  Going again tomorrow for some of the other forums.

Sadly, I didn't meet up with any CleanitUp/another forum forum members as the name badges are attached to ribbons and hang down near one's stomach (depending on how tall you are of course - mine was near my knees  ;D  ).  Rather embarassing walking round peering closely towards mens nether regions trying to identify them - was worried about being arrested so gave up.  The names are printed too small to read from a comfortable distance.  I think they should be in much larger print and fitted near the breast pocket level.

Hope this helps

John

ps. I will be in a double breasted grey suit, white shirt and red tie/greyish hair but at least it still covers most of my head  :)

I was coming from Chepstow, all the maps said go through central London, :'(

Blow that I went around the M25 and ended out not using either the map I had printed or the one on the back of the ticket ;D
Fair play, Docklands was well signposted and so was ExCel, got there easy 8)
Did get a little turned around as we came away though :-\

350 mile round trip :-[

Was only there an hour or so too :'(

Was a little disappointed, was hoping there would have been more maufacturers displaying their wares. What was there was good, but I was hoping for something along the lines of the Fed show earlier this year.
