Awareness

Hi Guys,

Hope you are all busy and things are going well.

I am trying to come up with some different ideas to promote my business, but I don't seem to come up with anything new , if you get my drift.

Currently I have got a referall scheme, giving £10 credit to current clients who referral is sucessful.

I have a company who does leaflet drops for me, which does work well to be honest!!

Yell.com, Y Pages, internet etc etc.

I'm trying to come up with something different.

I wondered if you guys had ever tried someone, different, and if so what and what was the outcome.

Also do you have to have permission from the local council to distribute leaflets in the local high street?

Thanks guys

ALl suggestion gratefully recieved?#

Kind Regards

Denise

I've also been to a couple of BNI meetings, and I did get a job from the first meeting I went to. I seriously considered joining, but the cost put me off. They were asking for a one-off fee of £100, an annual fee of £400, plus £8 per week for the breakfast.

You need a lot of cleans to re-coup that lot and the thought of having an hour and a half meeting at 7:00am on Friday, followed by a day's cleaning, just didn't appeal to me.

Apparently there are very few cleaners at these meetings, so don't let me put you off, but I just couldn't see me getting too many referrals from it and I certainly couldn't get many return referrals.

I joined the one down near me in Hitchin, it was very good.

I felt I had to join it as there were other guys at the presentation I went to, I got my money covered in no time as there was a big letting agent and I got all of his work straight away. Well worth it.

I only stopped going because I was giving more referalls than I was getting back, got work from plumbers making a mess, Ins brokers that wanted office cleaned etc etc.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your responses, but to be honest, I don't like that idea. Toomuch risk involved at the moment.

Has anyone else got anything interesting.

Has anyone hand out leaflets in they local town, and had a reasonable response?

Sorry guys, but I really need to pick your brains on this one.

Hope you all had a nice day

BNI works brilliantly for me too.
Not too big an investment when you consider how much Yell.com et al want for an advert.  Also, have done local paper ads... bloomin expensive and for only one issue!!!

One contract alone the I have had through BNI has paid for my membership for the next 10 years!

Have done leaflets, postcards, paper ads, email campaigns, google adwords, yellow pages, thompson local and loads more and BNI is the best value by far.

Just my experience
Andy
