New Virus Alert
« on: June 22, 2007, 04:29:24 pm »
VERY IMPORTANT WARNING

Please Be Extremely Careful especially if using Internet mail such as
Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL and so on.

This information arrived this morning direct
From both Microsoft and Norton.

Please send it to everybody you know who has access to the Internet.

You may receive an apparently harmless email with a Power Point
Presentation "Life is beautiful."

! If you receive it DO NOT OPEN THE FILE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTAN CES, and
Delete it immediately. If you open this file, a message will appear on your
Screen saying: "It is too late now, your life is no longer beautiful."

Subsequently you will LOSE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC and the person who
Sent it to you will gain access to your name, e-mail and password.

This is a new virus which started to circulate on Saturday afternoon.
AOL has already confirmed the severity, and the antivirus software's are not
Capable of destroying it.

The virus has been created by a hacker who calls
Himself "life owner.!

PLEASE SEND A COPY OF THIS EMAIL TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS and ask them to
PASS IT ON IMMEDIATELY

It's a Hoax. A very old one at that originally from 2002

A genuine post I think, but no threat from the email.

Hi Andy

My wife also works for local Gov and is always getting them through the system. It makes you wonder what we pay our Coucil Tax for when all they do all day is post these to each other ;D

This was a classic sent by the H&S officer to all members.

PIN NUMBER REVERSAL (GOOD TO KNOW)

If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can notify the police by entering your Pin # in reverse.

For example if your pin number is 1234 then you would put in 4321
.

The ATM recognizes that your pin number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the machine.

The machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to the robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to help you.

This information was recently broadcasted on TV and it states that it is seldom used because people don't know it exists.

Please pass this along to everyone possible.

;D ;D ;D  Another Hoax but could have serius consequences.

Yet another good reason to own a mac. 8)

I'm stuffed on the pin code thing as my bank issued me a code that can be read the same backwards as it can be forward.  Every time I now draw money out I'm gonna be looking over my shoulders for the cops.

Simon.

I once read an email entitled life is beautiful, complete wast of time.
