Having spent some time reading posts re software. Some of the posts are quite old and i am guessing software may now have been updated. So I am a little confused.

WCP no longer being updated?

George, popular but is it keeping up? No on line payment option.

Collect my round sounds good with online payments. Up and coming?

Sage ACT and accounts?

Excel sheets/ Lists

Any feedback would be brilliant.

www.aworka.com  Cloud based program but IMO it is the best out their they also have a mobile app which works on android and iphone's  so you can check and update your round(s) when out working or collecting . Mike

It looks great.

I would not put anything into their servers. They have no contact address listed (required by law) and no mention of the data protection act. In fact I think it would be illegal for me to share my customers details with them as they do not say whether they are going to access / share the details.

I realise that is being overly pernickety but I have no idea who they are, do you?

Maybe I'm just paranoid.

All the contact information for Aworka is on their invoices that I receive. Their email responses are very prompt (better than most companies I contact) which shows to me a level of validity. And they are quite helpful too. As for putting your info on the internet, every single interaction you ever make on the internet is recorded somewhere: banking, ebay, purchases, your tax return, blah blah...bit late for that I reckon. And as for data protection...do you have anything on your site about the data you keep for your customers? Their addresses and telephone no.s etc. Do you explain how you will use their information? No neither do I.
You have got a point about (the potential) of sharing your customers info with a third part, but hey poo, you've gotta trust someone, sometime!

I have taken on board that there may not be enough information on the aworka web site concerning data protection, security, contact details, etc, so I will try to improve it! Hopefully, I can keep it simple...

We have just been separating our commercial work from our residential and we have been using WCP for the last couple of years! I love the format and look of WCP but it does lack some key things for us! Mainly only being able to use it on one main system rather than cloud based like others mentioned.

We have therefore had to download another WCP which is on a separate PC and will end up costing us £170 ish. I downloaded Aworka before the second WCP but just couldn't seem to flow with it and with limited time available, I thought might as well go with what I know!

Would ideally like to move away from WCP though as no development planned and unless I remember to back up outside the office, all my work would be gone in the case of a fire etc

www.aworka.com  took me about 8 wks to really get into it and still learning now as things are been developed on a regular basis .

Best thing i ever did was putting my round onto aworka has made the day to day running of my business so much easier . Mike

As for eBay, paypal, tax returns etc, you will note that they all list a registered address and privacy policy. It is required by law.

Thanks for the input, will hve a look at aworka over the weekend
