How to price Upvc frame clean
« on: May 07, 2007, 10:17:01 pm »
I’ve been ask to clean some upvc frames. I’m using WFP but they need a deep clean, ie: Cream cleaner/Solvent, heavy staining etc then wfp off.

How do you price this kind of job?
Do you price per frame if so what would an average frame price be?

Or should I estimate how long I think it would take me and put in an hourly rate, ie: £30 - £40 ph

What’s the best way to go?

Any help please.

Thanks
Wayne

When I was trad I did regular frame cleans at twice the amount of the windows.  But a deep clean with a cream cleaner and then to wfp off afterwards is going to take a lot longer a lot more water also as the cream  washes onto the glass.  I would times the regular price by a number that makes sense maybe 6 time normal price, maybe even more.

just tell them your hourly rate, and give them a ball park figure, cant be fairer than that

We charge £10 per frame ontop ofthe cleaning of the windows.
Firstly we wipe the frame with a karcher cleaning solution (only causewe have gallons of it)
then once dry we use white t-cut takes about 15 mins per windowbuttheydo come up real good

Thanks for the help Guy's

Been told that if the upvc has turned grey then it's a lost cause, as the dirt has become ingrained. But we shall see :-\

I plan on using a upvc cream cleaner and maybe a solvent upvc cleaner. Just wondering would the 't-cut' method clean up the ingrained dirt (Grey Staining) any easier.

@ a-r windows, White T-Cut? any car shop I presume.

Pricing: I was thinking along the lines of £5 - £10 per frame depending on size so I wasn't far of the mark.

Thanks again
