post tradesman clean on old building help please?
« on: April 18, 2007, 04:05:37 pm »
Hi everyone

Thank you for your input on my recent posts, all very helpful advice and i really appreciate any input. so thank you.

just been to survey a property its being done up to let out, very old lots of timber beams and stone floors, not dirty, more dusty and bitty from the tradespeople who have been painting and plumbing etc.

it is quite large though, how do you price for this type of work? not sure if it should be classed as a build n sparkle, although we are required to go back after everyone has finished to make sure its top spec.
small entrance area, kitchen - new medium sized, lounge, sitting room, hallway (with entrance to new build bit) annexe which is all new so will be doing on the sparkle clean (living room with bit of kitchen, hall, bathroom.

Then stairs with hall area, 2 bedrooms, bathroom.
its an old farm house type but will be empty of furniture.

thinking of 3 cleaners for a full day 6 -8 hours? but not really sure....

advise welcome
thanks
Lisa

asuming property is fairly clean as you say with three cleaners at 8 hours each 24 at £6 per hour is £144 so not much in the way of material i would be thinking of £250 minimum but from what you say it doesn't seem to me it will take 24 hours more like 16 with 2 or 3 good cleaners hope this helps

hi
thanks for your reply.

Are you saying 250 for the builders and the sparkle?

i was thinking along the lines of (as its a little out of local area) £15 pc ph so 250 for build and perhaps 120 for the sparkle (there is the whole annexe to clean on the sparkle)

also on these refurbs etc, do you wash the stone flooring? it all looks clean already to me, perhaps a dry mop and vac type job?? what dya think?

hi lisa sorry for the long wait yes 250 for the build and 120 for the sparkle sounds fine to me and yes i would clean the floor even if it looks clean main reason being so they cant pick me up on any thing cus you can put money on it if there's one bit of dirt in the corner they'll find it hope this helps on future work and good luck dsc
