if you want to attach the vessel to the tank you'd be safer using self adhesive pads, you can get really strong ones from most diy shops.
if you screw it on you have to be careful that t doesn't leak water all over the place and if you ever decide to move the vessel then you're gonna have 2 holes to plug

Mine is attached to the side of my tank with ratchet straps
