please can i have some help

i currently run my my pump from my van on a 100m hose, and have it setup so when i unclick the hose from the pole it stops the pump on its built in pressure switch

im looking into going down the shurflo and varstream setup as you all swear by it. does this use a pressure switch so would my setup still work? i.e. when i unclick my hose will it turn it off?

cheers  ;)

It doesn't use the pressure switch you need to disconnect that out of the circuit.

It works out how much voltage is being drawn by the pump.  So when the pump starts to struggle the varistream cuts the pump off.  So if you disconnect your pole and cut the flow the pump will cut out a few seconds after.

Another benefit, if the pressure switch is burnt out it makes no difference to the system.

Simon.

Just another thought.  You may not have to change over the pump. I use a Flojet and varistream.
