Flow Control Valve,Popping Hose
« on: April 13, 2007, 11:34:11 pm »
I've got one of those gas type flow control valves(same as Gardiners sell)
Problem is hose keeps popping off when I turn off the pressure.
Can anyone show/tell me what the inserts look like that go into the hose to stop this happening?
I know Gardiners sell them with these inserts included but I'm in N.Ireland and they have a ridiculous postage charge.

whatever your hose id then cut up the appropriate size "y" or "T" piece plastic connector and push that in to strengthen it ;)

That's a good tip John.

Dave

Give us a ring on Monday morning and I'm sure that Kirsty will pop two inserts in a surface mail envelope to you at very minimal cost.

Dave if you have a B&Q near you they sell the inserts to go into the hose i see them in there today.

They have a number off differant sizes so take a piece of hose to get the correct size
