payloads
« on: April 11, 2007, 10:43:44 am »
I have found a volkswagen transporter for sale that is ideal apart from it has a payload of 800kg. I know they do these in 1000kg and 1200kg, so is it possible to put the uprated springs on and be legal ? I will be carrying a total of about 900-1000 kg.

any ideas of who I can ring to confirm ?

thanks

Ok, I've managed to find the answer now, so if anyone else out there needs to know . . . .

DVLA say that if the uprated springs are put on then all I need to do is send them proof from the garage and they will update the log book.
