What would you most like quotation software to be able to do?

any software would be best suited to presentation to the prospect.

one very important area would be options. package selling for an example. giving more than one price does not stop you getting the job, you can never know what someone has as a budget, so by pitching more than one option you walk away knowing that you got as they say all the money on the table.

good luck

So what about software that would do the sums etc. present them nicely and also have the option to show a presentation from your computer at the click of a button?

Anything else?

What variables would you want to be taken into account in the mathematics?

discount for yardage. soil conditions, promotions, offers etc, move furniture,

It depends if you want to custom build your services to your customers. or stick to standard types of services.

it need to be simple for the customer to understand but behind what they see, costings and searchability for the user. this would be important in finding out your return on say an offer or what services are used more than others, the ups and downs in the year.

contactability to other programs like your database or accounts program. my database connects to my PDA that runs my sat nav. but not to my quotation program so i have to enter details twice.

cant think of anything else at the mo,
