Solution
« on: April 04, 2007, 10:13:34 pm »
I know Nick and Solution UK get a bit of stick on here, but he did me a great deal on a stair tool and some vac pipe and sundries the other day. With the added bonus that he's only 30 minute drive from me. The 2inch vac pipe is a revalation, I only intended to use it for trial purposes however I can see allready that it makes a huge difference.  I will be replacing all the old 1.5inch drekly. Can now maintain good air flow further from the machine.

Thanks Nick.

2 inch vac hose, what size wand you got. 2 inch all the way or 1 and half like most wands.

2 inch vac hose is ok but to get benefits you need a 2 inch wand or you lose it.

It must be my imagination that I get better air flow and Can now work further away from the machine.

I don't doubt that it would further improve performance . I think you will find that reductions in cross sectional area won't effect flow too much as long as those reductions are not over a long length. This is possible with air as air is relativly easy to compress.

ps I don't often use a wand.
