« on: February 26, 2007, 08:40:53 pm »
Looks like Im gonna need a booster for my membrane.

What boosters are proven to work with a 4040 membrane.

Thanks.

Hi Shawn

I still reckon you'd be better off changing to a low pressure membrane and then sell yours on ebay.

Before I put it on ebay, Im trying to ensure that even if I got the psi up to 225 or more I could not get the same amount of product water per minute as with a low pressure membrane.

I can get a booster that will up the psi to 225.  Will that produce water at 50/50 like a low pressure membrane?

When looking for a booster is there a certain gallons per minute I will need?

A 40/40 membrane?  If you mean a 4x40 membrane, i don't think it is designed to work efficiently at that pressure.  It works at max 90 psi pressure methinks.  But you may be talking about something else as you don't make very clear.

There are low pressure and high pressure 4x40 membranes.  My supplier sent me the high pressure membrane by mistake.  Im stuck with it now.

You are refering to low pressure membranes.

Hi Shawn

Even at 225psi, the high pressure membranes won't work efficiently at 50/50, they work fine at 30/70 (recovery/waste).

Its the AK4040TF you want, or a Filmtec XLE4040
