Suction Swivel ladder feet?

Hi
Deciding on a set of ladders, prob the 11'6'' 'A' frame doubles from Midlandladders
which seem to offer the best deal, wondered if anyone had the swivel ladder
feet they offer to fit for extra £15 which they say gives extra safety or would it
be better to go for a ladder mat?
Especially thinking of how slippery those timber patios are when wet.
Has anyone had experience with either of these items?

I use octopus feet from here ........
http://www.brattsladders.com/accessories.htm
I highly recomend these, they can also be turned up and used as spikes for soft surfaces eg grass and soil.

I have bought a triple ladder with the swivle feet from Midland ladders, I am very pleased with them, well, very pleased with the ladder.
They seem to grip well, I used this ladder on slippy wood decking and it never moved. i have since bought a M8rix and although I haven't had to use it, this also looks well made.

Just posting a safety notice. You must need your head examined putting a ladder on timber decking, especially if wet. Use an extension pole or borrow a WFP.

I get all my ladders from midlandladders and always have the swivel feet added, great service and very quick delivery. You don't have to wait in for them either just tell them when you order that you want them putting in the back garden and chain them up. I then leave a lock and chain out and they chain them to my ladder bracket or wheel bins.
I don't use the suction feet I think these are for inside use maybe wrong.
They are great on grass and mud, stops the ladder sinking.
I have also use them on wet decking without problems but would also use a set of ladder legs as well for extra safety on wet decking.
