Rope Access, IRATA
« on: July 30, 2004, 09:07:09 pm »
Hi

I know that if you ask anything about rope-access training people say "you have to go to IRATA"

But, as this seems to be a very expensive way of getting the training, especially as you have to have one of their bods with you for 2000 hours (2000 HOURS! Can you beleive that!)  Is it possible to get abseiling contracts without IRATA?

Are there other qualifications you could do, or is the insurance cost of non-irata just too much?

I ask here because I know Peter did IRATA and found it to be a con.
