gutter clearing....
« on: February 02, 2007, 04:35:58 pm »
I have been asked to give a price to clean the gutters out on a big school i clean. They are good customers so i want to make sure i give a reasonable price, as i want them to stay happy with me.

I have cleaned hundreds of gutters before, but practically all of them were houses. I was thinking for this job it would probably be worth pricing by the foot as i think this will be the fairest way.

I have an idea what i would charge, but i wanted to see what everyone else thought too, just to reassure myself.

How much do you think should be a fair amount to quote per foot:
1.First for ground floor gutters,
2.Then first floor gutters,
3.then Second floor gutters?

Cheers guys

A £1 per foot is fair. Havent done to many jobs yet but the few I have seem ok with that price.

£5 per metre (3 feet) seems ok to me. Just over £1.50 a foot spread over the varying heights.
