What type of flow rate (gpm) does a 4040 r/o unit get on average?  What is the amount of waste water vs. pure water?

I was thinking of getting a merlin as they are relatively cheap here in the US, but after seeing Bazz's setup ongoing Im thinking of doing something more along the lines of what he has got going.

What are the advantages of static vs. in vehicle production?

4040's on average produce 2 or 3ltrs per min (0.53USGal to 0.79USGal per min)

waste:product normally 60:40

The merlin is a brilliant system with a high production capacity. Well worth the money although high tds levels can be a bit sore on its membranes (Higher than 200ppm) although our tap water is between 300 and 350ppm, merlin is about 8 months old, we produce approx 6000ltrs/week (don't use all that as we have customers who buy the water from us) and other than regular prefilter changes its been great.  Outlet water is around 4ppm.

Advantages of in vehicle production are: space saving as no static tank needed, ability to produce water on the job.

Disadvantages - no reserves of water.
