Posted this on another forum : I was thinking of offering my RO cleaning service to wash caravan exteriors and wondered if anyone else had tried it? How do you cope with the really green ones? Is there a market for it? I have read elsewhere never to use a power washer any thoughts?

i powerwash them, on low power and it does a great job

though having posted the same message here a while ago, i was told its not a wise thing to do

Use TFR on really green ones and WFP to clean it up.

Only did a couple as i advertised a bit too late.

Using pressure washer could cause it too leak at the seams & windows.

Not so much statics, there is a large collection of tourers stored nearby and seeing as I will be carrying water I rekon there could be a market for a swish over with pure water now and again?

Bazzy how much for them? and what are you cleaning them with? (if I may be so bold)

I use TFR with wax just pre spray it then give it a quick brush then power wash it off job done takes me about 30 mins to do but the double unit takes about 1 hour.
£30.00 for the 1st caravan
£85.00 for the double
You dont need to use a power washer but thats all ive got, a hose pipe or WFP will be just as good but you might have to brush a little harder to get all the green out first before rinsing.
Be carefull to dilute the TFR i use 1 part TFR then 5 parts Water.

Forgot to metion you done need pure water to clean them just plain old tap water will do..

30 quid for 30 mins work and 85 for 1 hours work

i just use a power washer, it does the job real easy, just gont get too close

Yes Matt it was good money but i no longer do them as ive cleared out my van ready for WFP and concentrating more on building up my w/c round as i kept it small to fit in the caravans.
So if you know anyone whos after a loads of gear for cleaning ie pressure washer ect. let me know, and its not the cheap stuff you get at B&Q or what ever..
