I hope he is still going to pay you, did you give your quote in writing, so was it clear that the price was per clean.
Drew.
It was this big.

Hi,

I can only see it getting worse what with the amount of labour out there.
I plan to jack it in next year & turn to something not any Tom ,Dick & Larry can  do. I am considering some sort of specialist cleaning be it scratch,  graffiti removal & the like.

don't worry too much mate, i've had this before, once the the other guy has done it for 43 quid he'll soon realize he's dropped a right clanger and probably never turn up to do it again (seeing that he cannot make a living like this). it is a bit dis-heartening though when this happens as you start to think- is it me? am i charging too much, but it's not, just stick to your guns with prices. i mean, come on, what kind of service is this tit gonna give for 43 quid?? how professional is he?? is he more likely to rob the place than do a good job??

i had a woman nearly drop through the floor when i quoted her 55 quid for her large house and extra large conservatory.it was going to take me 2 1/2 hours with a mixture of trad and wfp (now thats a good price)

WWHHAAAAAAAAAATT!!!!!! she said FIFTY FIVE POUNDS???
yes i replied
the guy that used to do them only took 15 pounds
so where is he?
he stopped coming after 4 months
thats why maddam, he realized he couldn't make a living only charging 15 quid
well, i'll just have to find someone else, i'm not paying that!!
fine

2 weeks later she rings me up "can you come and do my windows i can't get anyone else"?

i stuck to my guns, she's still getting a good price at 55 quid and she knows it now. :D ;D

If you were a real man you'd have said - sorry it's sixty quid now!
(I, on the other hand would have gone in too cheap - so don't pay any attention to me!)
It's a game of three halves!

Get a decent price ALWAYS! If you want to sustain a living from it you have to otherwise you'll be like all the others who charge far too little and only clean them a couple of times, then STOP as they can't make a living all year round!
Losing a customer is like waiting for the next bus, another one will come along shortly!

As he said he will be in touch usually means you have lost that one.
