I read recently on a US based board of a tip for handling "storm windows" or what we would call detachable secondary glazing panels. The poster recommended using those sucker handles that you see glaziers using, and I thought hmmm, good idea that.
I should have done something about it when it was fresh in my head, because yesterday I was struggling to get to grips - literally - with a BIG panel. Came out easily enough, but trying to get it back into the top track was a real sod.
I've ordered two of these . . .

You can pay lots more for sturdier ones. . . http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.jsp?id=18817&ts=38790 but I don't do many of these jobs and reckon the handles will stand up to occasional use.
Secondary Glazing panels? - no problem!
