Steve,
This is the set up i have RO unit 300 gpd going into a 1000 litre tank.

I have only changed the resin cartridge once in 3-4 months and my water is still coming out at 000 ppm. As you can see i dont have one of these cheap and nasty RO units that you see on Ebay. This does the job and produces 1000 litres plus per day with ease as long as the pressure is good ( 70 psi )

I then feed off the tank for my daily needs as of yet i dont have a transfer pump.

I got my equipment from Omnipole there web site is here... http://www.omnipole.com/ ask for Mark or Glyn.

Hope that helps and is what you are looking for.

All the big companies do large static systems.  With the big Hydronautics RO membranes (Like the one here on a pure2o system):

they will fill a 1000ltr tank in a few hours.  (the ones that usually come with Van systems)

If you have a DI only system, 1000 ltrs can be produced in around 25 minutes.  More expensive to run though, depending on your local water hardness.

The Ionic systems brochure has a picture of a static facility with 4 x 1000 ltr tanks connected together and 2 large RO membranes and 2 DI cells.

So, yes it is possible, though I would imagine its quite expensive.

Justin's right there, thats a rather high flow rate.  Is that 2 people using the same system at the same time?

Normally 1.5 litres per min is more than enough.

Hi Steve,
Suggest you visit our website at www.andwat.co.uk.  Our poleclean production module, at just £1655, includes one 2000L/day membrane, prefilters, in-line TDS display, and one new 1000L IBC.  For just £2569, you get TWO membranes (4000L/day) and TWO IBCs.  These prices are plus carriage, plus VAT, but can still knock spots off the competition.  Give us a ring on 01704 541578 if you want clarification.
Yours, Andrew Greenhalgh

Wow! 7 litres a minute!?

That must be a monster unit.  (It is an RO unit we're talking about here yes?)

What sort of pressure does it need for that rate? Does it require a booster pump?

The UHF membranes we use at Ionic give 3,000 ltires per day at just 50psi, therefore two used on our 4,000ltr static system will produce 6,000 ltrs per day. By filling three 1,000 ltr vans AM and three PM this becomes a very cost effective solution.

Tucker poles have much larger holes in the brush screws which is why they consume as much as 3 ltrs per min. Our thinking is that 1.5 ltrs is sufficient as pure water costs more that tap water.

We do static 3,000 ltr per day systems with two 1,000 ltr holding tanks for under £2,000 these come complete with a large capacity transfer pump.

Further info and pictures on our website http://www.ionicsystems.com Always remember you get bigger filters for your money at Ionic.

Kind regards

Hi Phillip

The R.O di System has it own high pressure pump 200 psi 1/2 hp induction motor with piston head. Its desiged to fill static IBCs but can be installed into your van. Its an American system, whom we have been dealing with for the past 7 years they supply us our pumps for our carpet cleaning systems.
