I`ve not really had any problems with ALLTEC and found their service to be just fine. Took delivery of my Aqua 40 plus last year, it had a faulty motor but they sent a replacement within 24 hrs. Had another vac let go with just 1 weeks warranty left, I called them, there were no ifs buts or why's Chris just said theres one on its way!!!! Even ordered switches because of bulb failiures and they were covered under warranty !!!! Good service indeed.   Buy a new car......... bulb goes...............I'm sure it wouldn`t be covered under warranty.
Yes they're a little expensive for some things, but you get what you pay for.

Craigp

Why do you think you are being "  ripped off "

What happens when you get your van, or car, or anything else serviced, don't you take it to premises which cost vast sums of money to operate.

The retail price charged in an industry, reflects the cost of running the whole business with a profit margin, otherwise the business would cease trading, pretty quickly.

Some businesses trade from low cost premises and offer the minimum, of service or seek to operate at a high volume of turnover. Retail prices for goods or services will normally reflect the trading style.

In the c/c industry there are high profile companies who need expensive marketing, because they're high profile and their charges reflect, this.

Are they " ripping off " their clients

an interesting point is that the alltec aquas being sold now still use the same mold as the elite DL well over twenty years ago, so there not spending on development thats for sure.

Not strictly true Craig... I think you will find that Alltec have designed some quite different  and in some cases quite unique machines over the years...Do you recall the 'Millenium'

What interests me here is the fact that you guys in Britain can actually deal direct with Alltec in the first place. The situation here in Ireland both North and South is somewhat different as Alltec will only supply through one single distributor and will not deal with any of us directly. I remember emailing Robert perhaps five years asking him to quote me for a new machine. No reply ever since. I am not in the least concerned however as I have sourced much better equipment and chemicals since then.

Ian

I'll never get back to the level of work, I managed, prior to my heart stopping me in my tracks quite litterally.

Even at 60, I reckon I'd greater stamina than most 30 year olds and was still capable of a 24 hour shift, followed by a couple of jobs the following day.

The heart problem has absolutely nothing to do with overwork, but is partly genetic, partly our historic diet containing too much salt, sugar and animal fats.

In theory, I really shouldn't be doing c/c work at all, but I have a young family, with all the usual expenses.

best wishes
