I got into a discussion on Friday. I thought I had heard sometime before that a window cleaner can sue if he/she was to fall and injure themselves while working at your property they are entitled to sue the property owner.

Is this true? or have I got the wrong end of the stick.

Mmm,
I am sure that in general you must be responsible for your own safety whilst working in your professional capacity.
You should be aware of possible risks, uneven flooring, slippery surfaces unstable windows, broken glass and so.
But I would imagine that is it is outside of the remit that has to do with your work, then yes, you would in this litigatious age, be able to sue them.
